Exclusive Air Systems was founded in 1981 by Dick and Cindy Nielsen with a belief that quality workmanship, honesty, and taking care of their customers were the foundation of a successful business. Dick’s experience in the HVAC industry began in 1978, when he learned the trade from his father-in-law, Sonny Jordan. Those early years helped establish the work ethic, hands-on experience, and values that would shape the company for decades to come.

In its early years, Exclusive Air Systems focused primarily on residential heating and cooling and smaller commercial projects throughout Utah. As the company grew and established its reputation, it began taking on larger and more complex work. In 1998, EAS expanded into large custom homes, marking an important chapter in the company’s history and shaping much of the work it would become known for. In 2002, Tony Nielsen joined his father, Dick, working alongside him and learning the trade firsthand. Over the years, Tony gained experience in all aspects of the business, eventually taking on a larger leadership role. Today, Tony oversees the day-to-day operations as an owner and operator, while Dick continues to remain involved in the company he and Cindy founded.

What started as a small family business has grown over the past four decades to include custom homes, residential construction, large commercial projects, tenant improvements, and HVAC service throughout Utah. Through the years, EAS has developed lasting relationships with homeowners, builders, general contractors, and businesses, many of whom have been part of the company’s story for years.

Today, Exclusive Air Systems remains family-owned and operated, continuing the legacy Dick and Cindy began in 1981. Although the company and the projects it takes on have changed over the years, the values it was founded on—hard work, quality workmanship, honesty, and taking care of people—remain the same.
